This in-home consultation provides an opportunity for us to explore your design priorities, goals, and aspirations for your home. During our discussion, we will assess the specific needs of the space, outline a preliminary scope of work, and begin to address the project budget. We will take measurements and photographs to inform the design process. This meeting also allows us to gain a deeper understanding of your lifestyle—how you currently use the space and how you envision its functionality moving forward. Please note that a fee is associated with this initial consultation. However, if you move forward this fee will be applied to the Design Plan Fee.

After the initial consultation we return to the studio to develop a proposal for the design plan specific to your project. The fee for the design plan for your project is determined by the scope of work discussed in the initial consultation. This fee is for our design expertise and is not for actual furnishings, or fixtures. The design plan fee covers our time to source and specify products, price each component of the design, meet with trades and contractors, and meet to present agreed upon deliverables - design boards, floor plans, specifications, samples, etc.

We will begin with an on-site visit to take precise measurements and photos of all the spaces we’ll be transforming.

In addition, we’ll provide you with a detailed questionnaire designed to help us understand your preferences and how you envision using your home. The more insights you share, the more tailored our approach will be. Whether you're not fond of birds or have a particular love for green (or any color, for that matter!), we want to know what inspires you. Sharing Pinterest boards or images you've saved would be incredibly helpful as well. Our goal is to craft spaces that reflect your unique tastes and needs.

Skilled tradespeople—such as carpenters, wallpaper installers, and flooring specialists—will visit the site to take precise measurements, capture photographs, review the plans, and prepare detailed estimates. These assessments will assist us in finalizing the pricing for your project. Whenever possible, we aim to coordinate this process in a single day, and your presence is not required.

Now it's time to reveal our initial design concepts, crafted from all the valuable insights you've shared—your images, Pinterest boards, and questionnaire responses. We'll present a general plan, complete with curated options for key pieces, fabrics, and a preliminary budget. Your feedback is essential here. Let's work together to refine the details, focusing on what truly resonates with you and leaving behind anything that doesn't quite make the cut.

The design presentation will generally take place in the comfort of your home. During this meeting, we will present the comprehensive details we’ve developed, including floor plans, specifications for furnishings, lighting, and other key elements, along with fabric, tile, and hardware samples. We will also provide a thorough breakdown of pricing, encompassing furnishings, labor, project management, shipping, receiving, and installation costs. Your Design Plan Fee includes provisions for revisions, with no additional design fees incurred as long as revisions do not exceed 20% of the project’s components.

Following the Design Presentation, the client will have one week to review the materials and submit any revision requests. To streamline the process, we recommend providing all revisions in a single email. The Design Plan Fee covers up to 20% of the project’s scope for revisions without additional charges.

Upon your final approval of the design plan, the next step is to initiate the ordering process through payment of the invoice. (Please note, a 3.5% charge will be applied for credit and debit card transactions. However, we accept checks and will provide you with a link to pay via bank transfer with no additional fees.)
The next phase of the project is Procurement. This phase incurs a procurement fee, which covers the time and resources to manage the execution of the project. This includes placing all orders, coordinating labor (such as soft goods fabrication, painting, carpentry, plumbing, wallpaper installation, etc.), and overseeing the timely delivery of all materials. Additionally, we address any issues related to damaged goods and ensure that everything is handled efficiently.

This phase also encompasses our involvement in overseeing installation and final accessorizing of the space. Please be aware that lead times for custom furniture and softgoods typically range from 6-20 weeks.

This is the most exiting phase of the process! We will coordinate with the installation teams to schedule a date for the delivery and placement of all furnishings, rugs, lamps, and other elements. Typically, this can be completed within one or two days; however, tasks such as construction, painting, wallpapering, and similar work will be carried out prior to the installation day.
For optimal efficiency, we recommend that clients refrain from being present during the installation, and kindly request that pets be secured out of the space, This allows our team to work without distraction with the utmost attention to detail.
We will also bring in carefully selected accessories and artwork, ensuring that your space feels complete. The remaining balance will be due within 7 days of installation and we will pick up any accessories you do not wish to keep.
